Travel Clinic for Manchester City Centre
Every vaccine your trip needs, two miles from Piccadilly Gardens. Yellow Fever, Hajj jabs and malaria tablets — same-day appointments at Trafford Clinic.
Manchester city-centre travel vaccines — a short hop south of Deansgate.
Most travel clinics in central Manchester are part of large GP-style practices or city-centre walk-ins where you'll see a different clinician each visit. Trafford Clinic is a few minutes south in Old Trafford — a single pharmacist-led clinic where Haroon Iqbal MPharm IP personally reviews your itinerary, prescribes any malaria tablets you need, and issues your certificates.
For a Manchester city-centre traveller the maths is simple: 10 minutes south on Chester Road / A56, or a 15-minute Metrolink ride from St Peter's Square to Trafford Bar (one stop after Old Trafford on the Altrincham line). You walk back out vaccinated, certified, and ready.
Yellow Fever, Hep A, Typhoid, Hajj jabs, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, malaria tablets — every common travel medicine in stock, prescribed and dispensed in one visit. NaTHNaC-designated Yellow Fever centre at Empire Pharmacy (premises 1123966).
Travel clinic for Manchester city centre commuters
If you live or work in central Manchester, Trafford Clinic is a single Metrolink hop down the Altrincham line — about 15 minutes from St Peter's Square to Trafford Bar, plus a two-minute walk. The clinic is at Empire Pharmacy, 122 Seymour Grove in Old Trafford, GPhC-registered premises 1123966, led by Independent Prescriber Haroon Mohammad Iqbal MPharm, IP (GPhC reg. 2051093). We're a NaTHNaC-designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre and run a full one-appointment vaccination service — you can come on your lunch break and have your travel risks assessed, vaccines given and Yellow Fever certificate or Hajj documentation issued before you're back at your desk.
The vaccine and prescribing menu
Stamaril (Yellow Fever) with same-day ICVP, Menveo (Meningococcal ACWY for Hajj/Umrah), Avaxim/Havrix (Hepatitis A), Engerix B (Hepatitis B with accelerated 0/7/21 schedule for late bookers), Typhim Vi (Typhoid), Rabipur (Rabies pre-exposure), Ixiaro (Japanese Encephalitis), Dukoral (Cholera), Qdenga (Dengue) and Ixchiq (Chikungunya). Malaria prescribing covers Malarone, doxycycline and mefloquine — dispensed the same visit. All recommendations are made against current NaTHNaC country pages and the UKHSA Green Book.
The city-centre commuter angle
Many of our city-centre patients are late bookers — work trip confirmed Friday, fly Tuesday, need Hep B and a malaria prescription. We routinely vaccinate same-day with two hours' notice, and run the accelerated Hep B 0/7/21 schedule (with a 12-month booster) for short-notice travellers. For the leisure crowd booking later in the calendar — Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, South America — see our destination pages including Thailand, Vietnam, Bali and Colombia.
