Travel Clinic for Sale
Yellow Fever, Hep A, Hajj jabs and family travel vaccines for Sale residents — same-day at Trafford Clinic, a 15-minute run up the A56.
Sale's local pharmacist-led travel clinic, 15 minutes up the A56.
Sale is a sizeable Trafford town with a family-heavy demographic and plenty of international travel — Hajj, Umrah, family weddings in India and Pakistan, holiday safaris in Africa, gap years to Southeast Asia. We see Sale travellers across all of these every week.
The practical advantage of Trafford Clinic over a Sale GP practice for travel jabs: we don't ration appointments to the over-16s only, we hold Yellow Fever, Rabies and Japanese Encephalitis in stock (most GPs don't), and Haroon prescribes malaria tablets in the same visit — no second trip to a separate prescriber. NaTHNaC-designated Yellow Fever centre at Empire Pharmacy (premises 1123966).
Fifteen minutes up the A56 with free parking on arrival.
Travel clinic for Sale residents
Sale is one of Trafford's larger family-heavy towns, just south of the clinic on the Altrincham Metrolink line. Trafford Clinic is 15 minutes up the A56 by car or four stops on the Metrolink — a much shorter journey than the city centre, with free parking on arrival. We operate from Empire Pharmacy, 122 Seymour Grove, Old Trafford (GPhC premises 1123966), led by Haroon Mohammad Iqbal MPharm, IP (GPhC reg. 2051093). We're a NaTHNaC-designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre and run a one-appointment service for family bookings: pre-travel risk assessment, vaccinations and certificates issued in a single 20–30-minute visit.
What we vaccinate against
Every routine and specialist travel vaccine: Stamaril (Yellow Fever) with same-day ICVP, Menveo (Meningococcal ACWY for Hajj/Umrah), Avaxim/Havrix (Hepatitis A), Engerix B (Hepatitis B, including the accelerated 0/7/21 schedule), Typhim Vi (Typhoid), Rabipur (Rabies pre-exposure), Ixiaro (Japanese Encephalitis), Dukoral (Cholera), Qdenga (Dengue) and Ixchiq (Chikungunya). Malaria prescribing on-site (Malarone, doxycycline, mefloquine). Family bookings welcome — most travel vaccines from age 1, Yellow Fever from 9 months. We plan schedules so siblings can be done in one visit.
Sale family travel — the angle
Sale bookings tend to skew family and leisure: Thailand for half-term, Sri Lanka and India for winter sun (see our India page and Thailand page), Bali (Bali), and the occasional safari requiring Yellow Fever to Kenya, Tanzania or South Africa via a Yellow-Fever-endemic transit. We plan the children's schedule against the UKHSA Green Book and the current NaTHNaC country pages — routine UK childhood schedule first, then travel vaccines layered on top.
